Synopsis
In his second year of high school, Rei Kiriyama navigates the demanding professional shogi world and personal challenges. He finds connection with the Kawamoto sisters—Akari, Hinata, and Momo—and others, gradually opening up from his solitary nature. This newfound support system helps him realize shared struggles and the importance of mutual reliance. Despite the pressures of tournaments and title matches, Rei continues to climb the ranks, facing formidable opponents. As he balances his relationships and career, he seeks the deeper meaning behind his dedication to shogi.
