Captain Herlock

Synopsis

Centuries after humanity's galactic dominion, dwindling universal resources force billions to return to Earth, igniting a brutal conflict for planetary control. An oppressive regime, the Gaia Sanction, ultimately halts Earth's repopulation. Captain Herlock, once a celebrated commander of the Gaia Sanction's fleet, rebels against their decision to allow alien immigration. His defiance escalates as he attacks diplomats and his own forces, then unleashes a dark matter weapon upon Earth, rendering it uninhabitable and becoming immortalized within it. A century later, the legendary Herlock, commanding only his ship, the Arcadia, emerges to challenge the Gaia Sanction's continued control and hidden agenda, setting the stage for a climactic battle that will decide Earth's future.
