In the year After Colony 195, the United Earth Sphere Alliance's oppressive rule over Earth and its colonies is challenged by rebels. Following the assassination of a colonial leader, five advanced mobile suits, known as Gundams, are dispatched to Earth for retribution. One of these Gundams, piloted by a young man adopting the name of the fallen leader, crash-lands and is discovered by Relena Peacecraft. This chance encounter sets in motion a chain of events that will shape the destinies of individuals and the fate of both Earth and its colonies.
