Synopsis

Sasaki finds solace from his demanding job in the bright demeanor of Yamada, a young cashier at a local 24-hour market. His daily visits to the store become a ritual to lift his spirits. One evening, Sasaki's disappointment at missing Yamada's shift turns into an unexpected encounter with Tayama, another store employee. Tayama, noticing Sasaki's admiration for Yamada, playfully confronts him. This leads to a new routine for Sasaki, where he now also visits the store hoping to find Tayama for a smoke. As they share cigarettes, a surprising connection forms between them, revealing layers to Tayama's personality beyond her initial teasing.
