Synopsis
In a future where electric cars are commonplace, a thrilling motorsports series called the MFG keeps the passion for combustion engines alive. Millions of viewers tune in as drivers battle for a coveted spot among the top 15 racers and a substantial cash prize. Among them is 19-year-old Kanata Rivington, who, using the alias "Kanata Katagiri," enters the tournament after attending a renowned racing school. Despite his disadvantageous vehicle, a hand-me-down Toyota 86 GT, Kanata aims to use the MFG as a means to find his absent father. His driving skills, however, draw comparisons to a legendary former racer, causing a stir in the competition.
