The inventor's crucial nanomachine virus, responsible for disabling enemy weaponry, is now in jeopardy. Simultaneously, a planet-destroying laser is activated aboard the Liberation Army's mothership in orbit. A new conflict erupts as Shinsuke Takasugi and the Kiheitai board the vessel to prevent the weapon's activation.
