Synopsis

Rintarou Okabe, at his emotional limit, ceases his collaboration with time traveler Suzuha Amane on preventing World War III, convinced that attempts to save Makise Kurisu are futile. He then sheds his "mad scientist" persona, adopting the guise of an ordinary university student. Mayuri Shiina, Okabe's friend, believes he is overcoming his trauma and expresses her happiness. Yet, Okabe remains troubled. This narrative initiates a pivotal divergence, a timeline where the weight of destiny intensifies beyond endurance.
