Koutetsujou no Kabaneri

Synopsis

In a world gripped by industrialization, a terrifying virus unleashes monstrous creatures called Kabane, whose insatiable hunger transforms their victims into more of their kind. The only way to defeat these beings is by targeting their steel hearts. Humanity's last bastions are fortified cities, accessible only by armored trains. Ikoma, a young engineer on the island nation of Hinomoto, has developed a potent weapon against the Kabane and yearns for the chance to prove its worth. His opportunity arrives unexpectedly when the undead threat breaches his sanctuary.
