Synopsis
A deeply pessimistic high school teacher, Nozomu Itoshiki, finds himself perpetually on the brink of despair, often leading to dramatic suicide attempts over minor setbacks. This satirical comedy unfolds in contemporary Japan, exploring various facets of its culture through Nozomu's interactions with his uniquely eccentric students. Among them are Kiri Komori, a shut-in who never leaves school grounds; Abiru Kobushi, who consistently appears with unexplained injuries; and Kafuuka Fuura, Nozomu's overly optimistic counterpart. The classroom is a vibrant mix of unusual personalities, each as peculiar as their teacher.
