Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199: Hoshimeguru Hakobune

Synopsis

In 2199 AD, the Yamato, having received a vital system from Iscandar, attempts to depart the Large Magellanic Cloud. Their journey is interrupted by the sudden appearance of the Gatlantis, a mysterious force led by the formidable Goran Dagaamu. Dagaamu demands the Yamato surrender, but the ship evades capture, only to be struck by a powerful, space-transcending beam weapon. Damaged and disoriented, the Yamato finds itself lost in an unusual, vibrantly colored dimension. The crew lands on a mysterious planet to investigate, discovering an unexpected vessel. Unbeknownst to them, Dagaamu has followed their trail to this same strange space, revealing that the planet is precisely what he has been searching for.
