Anime Koukyoushi: Jungle Taitei

Synopsis

This animated work brings Isao Tomita's 1965 musical composition, originally created for Jungle Emperor, to life. The music, which evolved into a standalone narrative, is visually interpreted through animation that retells the early story of Kimba the White Lion. The animation follows the familiar plot of the peaceful animal kingdom, the arrival of hunters, Eliza's capture, and Panja's demise, culminating in Kimba's birth and escape to Africa. This visual narrative unfolds entirely without dialogue, featuring a distinct animation style that draws inspiration from the 1989 series while presenting a unique depiction of Kimba.
